Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Snowy Humanizer and ProfSnowy (collectively, the “Services”) operated by ProfSnowy (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services in the United States, or at least 16 years old if you are in the EEA or UK. By using the Services, you represent that you meet the age requirement for your jurisdiction.

3. Accounts

You sign in via Google OAuth through Supabase Auth. We do not manage your Google password. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account.

If you believe your account has been compromised, notify us at hello@profsnowy.com promptly.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use the Services to:

Generate content intended to deceive, defraud, or impersonate a third party
Misrepresent authorship or violate academic, professional, or platform rules
Generate content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, or hateful
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source prompts or training data from the humanize model
Resell or white-label the Services without written permission
Use automated scraping or bulk-download tooling against the Services

We may suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are violating this section.

5. Beta Access and Quotas

Current beta access is free. Available limits may vary by account status or beta eligibility as shown in the app. As of the date of these Terms:

Quotas reset at midnight Toronto time each day.

Beta access is provided as-is and may change. We will notify you of material changes to quota tiers in advance where possible.

6. Paid Plans

Paid plans may be introduced in the future. Any paid plan will require separate notice and your explicit consent before you are charged. We will not automatically convert free or beta accounts to paid plans without your affirmative opt-in.

7. User Content and Voice Anchor

You retain all rights to text samples you upload and drafts you submit through the Services.

We do not use your drafts or voice samples to train AI models.

When you create a voice anchor, your text samples and resulting voice profile are stored against your account in Supabase with row-level security. Your voice anchor is used only to personalize your own humanize requests.

8. Intellectual Property

The Services, including the humanize model, Voice Anchor logic, UI, and related trademarks, are owned by ProfSnowy or its licensors.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for personal or internal business purposes during the term of these Terms.

All humanize outputs generated for you are yours to use as you wish, subject to these Terms and applicable law.

9. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

You violate these Terms
We are required to do so by law
The Services are discontinued

To request account deletion or data export, email hello@profsnowy.com. In-product deletion and export controls are not yet available but are planned for a future update. Deletion and export requests are handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that humanize output will be free of errors, unbiased, accurate, or suitable for any particular purpose.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL PROFSNOWY BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) ANY FEES YOU PAID IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $50.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold ProfSnowy harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Services or your violation of these Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada, except where applicable consumer law provides otherwise.

If you are a consumer in the EEA or UK, you may also bring claims in your country of residence under your local consumer-protection law.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email (if you have an account) at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Services after a change constitutes acceptance.
