Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 3, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how ProfSnowy (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the website at https://profsnowy.com and the Snowy Humanizer web application at https://humanizer.profsnowy.com (collectively, the “Services”).

By using the Services, you agree to the data practices described below. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Services Covered

This Privacy Policy covers all use of profsnowy.com and humanizer.profsnowy.com, including account creation, the humanize/rewrite flow, Voice Anchor creation, and generation job history.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you give us

  • Account data: When you sign in with Google OAuth through Supabase, we receive your Google email and profile name. We do not receive your Google password. Email/password authentication may also be available; Supabase Auth manages those credentials.
  • Voice Anchor samples: If you create a voice anchor, the text samples you provide are stored against your account in Supabase (see Section 5).

2.2 Information we collect automatically

  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, IP address, browser and device type, and timestamps. We use Vercel Analytics for aggregate, cookie-less analytics.
  • Authentication cookies: Supabase sets a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

2.3 Information processed through the Service

  • Humanize requests: Text you submit is sent to our AI provider (currently MiniMax M3 via an OpenAI-compatible API) along with your voice anchor profile, if one is set. The AI provider processes this data under their own privacy policy.
  • Durable generation jobs: Submitted input text, generated output, status and progress, and error metadata are stored server-side so the app can provide durable jobs, job recovery, and generation history. Internal workflow and debug fields may be stored but are not exposed through the public API.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Services
  • Authenticate users and enforce daily word quotas
  • Process humanize requests, including applying your voice anchor to the rewrite
  • Detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, security, or technical issues
  • Communicate with you about your account or service changes

We do NOT:

  • Sell personal information
  • Use your drafts or voice samples to train AI models
  • Share your information with advertising networks

4. AI Provider and Generation Processing

Your humanize requests are sent to our AI provider (currently MiniMax M3 via an OpenAI-compatible API) to generate output. The AI provider operates under its own privacy policy. We do not use your drafts or voice samples to train AI models.

Generation job history (input text, output text, status, progress, and error metadata) is stored in Supabase to support durable jobs, recovery, and history across sessions. Internal workflow and debug fields may be retained but are not exposed through the public API.

5. Voice Anchor Data

When you create a voice anchor, text samples you provide are stored against your user account in Supabase with row-level security (RLS) enabled, so only your authenticated session can access them.

Your voice anchor samples and profile are used only to personalize your own humanize requests. We do not use your voice anchor data to train AI models.

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your voice anchor data, see Section 9.

6. Cookies, Analytics, and Crash Reporting

7. Service Providers / Sharing

We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Services — including Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (analytics), Sentry (error reporting), and our AI provider (text processing) — under their applicable terms and privacy commitments.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with advertising networks or data brokers.

We may disclose information to legal authorities if required by law.

8. Data Retention

Generation job history (inputs, outputs, status, progress, and error metadata) is stored to support durable jobs and history across sessions. Internal workflow and debug fields may be retained alongside generation records but are not exposed through the public API.

  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Export your voice anchor profile

In-product controls for deletion and export are not yet available. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@profsnowy.com. Deletion requests are processed by email. Some records may be retained for a limited period where needed for security, abuse prevention, legal obligations, or backup recovery.

If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. California Residents

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know whether we collect or share your personal information, and to request access to, correction, or deletion of that information. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise these rights, email hello@profsnowy.com.

11. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (US) or 16 (EEA/UK). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used the Services, please contact us at hello@profsnowy.com so we can delete the account and data.

12. International Transfers

The Services are operated from the United States. If you are located outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US.

13. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:
  • HTTPS and TLS for all traffic in transit
  • HTTP security headers (HSTS, CSP, X-Frame-Options, and others)
  • Row-level security on Supabase tables
  • Prompt-extraction defense layers to protect humanize requests

No system is perfectly secure. If you discover a vulnerability, please contact security@profsnowy.com.

14. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes, we will notify you by email (if you have an account) and by posting the updated policy with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
